ICT4me's Mission & Goals
Provide a problem- and design-based curriculum that promotes middle school youth information technology (ICT) fluency, incorporates the STEM content of computer science and mathematics, and supports youth development leaders in providing this programming.
The ICT4me curriculum and materials encourage middle school youth to
- Explore and pursue ICT careers
- Use technology to strengthen and build their technology fluency
- Take high school algebra and geometry courses in preparation for postsecondary STEM education and/or ICT careers
In addition to these learning goals for the youth, the ICT4me curriculum and professional development materials are designed to enhance a youth development's staff capacity to offer ICT fluency programming.
